Chrono Crusade
I had expressed to Shiva I'd always wanted to do a masquerade skit that had stage combat, and so together we decided to go for it using an anime our group enjoyed where the costumes were complex enough for competition but simple enough to allow us a lot of movement: Chrono Crusade. I'd been a fan of the series for some time, and although I initially planned to make the human version of Aion, the demon version was more dynamic and allowed me to engineer mechanically expanding wings for the skit. I spent so much time on the wings the costume itself wasn't my best work, so although the wings were in good shape I didn't wear this again after competing in 2010. When Shiva and Punzy remade their costumes years later I decided to join in and completely remade everything except the wings in 2017.
